Laminating
Laminating is bringing together multiple substrates and providing them with a self-adhesive layer of your choice. This way we combine layers with specific properties into a unique self-adhesive product! The layers are mechanically connected to each other by means of adjustable pressure between two conical rollers. The trick is to find the optimal setting at which the two products can be assembled without tension – without stretching or deformation – and without air bubbles due to air inclusion.
Why laminate?
Laminating is actually an intermediate step in our production process. We laminate to provide substrates that are not self-adhesive with a self-adhesive layer of your choice. This is often done in preparation for punching or lasering.
Why a conical roller?
A conical roller is thicker in the center than at the sides. When unrolling, the material always seeks the lowest point. This ensures that the product goes straight through the machine and does not ‘search’.
Specifications laminating
- Working width 50 – 1250 mm.
Extra mogelijkheden
- It is possible to heat the roller during laminating. This makes the tape more fluid and penetrates deeper into the substrate.
