Self-adhesive tapes and glues for the sustainability industry

To contribute to the energy transition, Tapir Tapes has selected a wide range of tapes and anti-slip materials especially for wind turbine manufacturers, solar panel installers and maintenance technicians. The Acrylic foams from 3M (VHB) and Tesa (ACX+) are extremely suitable for creating a high-quality connection in an outdoor environment. These tapes are resistant to UV and ozone influences, moisture and temperature fluctuations.

A good example is the 3M 4110. This is a specially developed Solar Acrylic Foam tape with very good adhesive properties. You can also consider anti-slip material such as 3M Safety Walk. This material is ideally suited to provide grip on smooth surfaces and thus increase safety during maintenance or installations. To reduce the noise produced by a wind turbine, ‘combs’ or ‘spoilers’ are mounted on the blades with tapes from 3M and Tesa.
