Difficult and easy to connect plastics

Whether a plastic is difficult or easy to glue depends on the surface tension of the material. Plastics with a low surface tension (Low Surface Energy or in short: LSE) are difficult to connect. They offer less support (adhesion), as it were. We have a wide range of different tapes for this. Do you want to connect different materials together? This can be extra difficult, because the expansion coefficient can differ greatly per substrate. Acrylic foams from 3M (VHB LSE tape), Tesa (ACX+) or Iguna are ideal for this. These acrylic foam tapes are resistant to temperature differences, UV light, moisture and solvents, among other things. We also have various options available for bonding.
