Rewinding

When rewinding, we wind from an original jumbo bulk roll back to a log roll at the desired length. We adjust the length of the tape roll to customer wishes. An efficient production process is crucial for every manufacturer. A production line that stands still because the core has to be changed every 50 meters of tape is unthinkable. We prevent such stops by supplying more length on a roll than the standard lengths.

It is of the utmost importance that unwinding and winding is done under the correct tension. The rewinding process is therefore completely computer controlled. The material is flexible and finds the easiest way. We must prevent the tape from stretching due to wrapping it too tightly or from telescoping after cutting because the tension has to be released. By carefully setting the rewinding machine, we ensure that the rolls receive the correct unwinding tension and winding thickness.
